I have decided to share some photos from my travels and inspiration over the years. Just to give a brief impression of my work and techniques.
First of all here are some photos from my first trip to China in 2005. The year after I finished my masters at the National College of Art in Oslo.
Together with artists from Sweden and Norway, we worked on a permanent exhibition for the new Scandinavian Ceramic Art Museum in Fuping, Xian. FuLe International Ceramic Art Museums (FLICAM), is China’s first International Contemporary Ceramic Museum, constructed by Futo Industrial Group and Dr. I Chi Hsu.
During this time I also spent a lot of time in Beijing, where I worked on all my sketches.
And I travelled to Jingdezhen, “the Ceramic City”, to find the right ceramic colours for my work and organize the order of the big tiles from one of the Factories. I also made a visit to Sanbao Ceramic Art Institute.
All in all a wonderful and life changing experience in many ways.
